This week will be the annual Gymnastics and Dance Competition a very long-standing part of College life. Who can forget the controversy in 1893, covered in some detail in “The Star” newspaper, for example, when Miss Charlotte Nicholls was disallowed from claiming the junior trophy as the rules stipulated a recipient could only win once?
From our archives, we also love this pre-war photograph of the present field being used for lawn tennis and this one from Miss Honey's era of girls doing their gymnastics.
